Archie:
How might we connect patients with the highest quality specialists?
The Project
It can be challenging to know find and connect to a specialist that can give you the care you need. Moreover, knowing the quality of care you will recieve or the level of procedural experience the provider has can be difficult information to find. Archie aims to solve those issues and answer the question: How might we connect patients with the highest quality medical specialist?
The Goal
Design an online interface that gives patients the information they need to connect to the best possible providers, creating an experience that is as simple, and as transparent as possible.
Research
I was brought onto the Archie development team to bridge the gap between the developers and the customer, tasked with creating an experience that provided users with all of the data they collected on medical specialists in a clear and straightforward way. My first step was to reach out to users and see where there struggles were through their experience finding care. I then looked into how other apps approached the issue and learn from their designs.
Sketch and Wireframe
Using what I learned from my market research, I began work on the layout of the primary pages. I began with mapping out the user flow and created paper prototypes to test the design functionality. Once everyone was happy with the core designs, I moved on to the digital wireframes.




Decide and Design
When it came to finalizing my designs, there were a few things to consider. Coming onto the team midway through production, I had to make sure my designs were consistent with previous advertising and branding. Working with my team, we created a design system that would guarantee a quality experience for our users while keeping that consistency



Prototype
Using the design system and figma designs I created, I worked with the development team to create a working prototype. Once we had the main pages finalized, Our user interview participants took part in user testing sessions to give their feedback on the design.

Test and Validate
Using the feedback from our user testing sessions, I presented the outcomes and next steps to the Archie team.
Outcomes
A functioning prototype that solves the user journey, providing patients with reliable information on provider quality and experience.
